2Cfresh basil
1CItalian parsley
1/2Ctoasted pine nuts
4chopped garlic cloves
1/4Colive oil
1Tlemon juice
salt to taste
crushed red pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Add salt and crushed red pepper to taste.
To make a creamy pesto sauce, simmer 1C coconut milk with 1/2C pesto.
